Regarding to the policies of the ministry of Agriculture to support the knowledge-based and strategic project in the country, the project of “establishment of the first farm for producing superior cows with the best genetic characteristic” using “in vitro embryo production technology” has started from 10 years ago.
The basis of this technology is that a limited number of calves with superior genetic characteristics are selected and after the production of embryos from these superior calves, the embryos are transferred to the non-superior recipients (producing about 40 embryos of every cow per year).
